About Me
“I just want everyone to be happy and no one to be sad.” - Me
My name is Monica Rose, and I am a cyborg. I have issues with my joints, my brain, my muscles, and my mind. I take 5 different medications, I have had 3 brain surgeries, and I have been in the hospital more times than I can count. I can’t drive, I can’t live alone, and I can’t have a full-time job. Also, there is a machine in my head. But boy, despite it all, I love my life.
Finding good in dark times is the key to survival. I have a lot of negative experiences due to my various disabilities, and I often get told that I deal with it well, and how do I do it?
Frankly, I can’t not. My key to life is finding the good things. Brain surgery brought support from family and friends. Anxiety causes appreciation for peaceful moments. And warm hugs. I love warm hugs.
That is what I want to share – how to be a flashlight in a dark room. Not only does it make it easier for me, but it sheds some light for other people as well.
So I’m a 24 year old college student with epilepsy, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and chronic anxiety, but there is so much more to me than that.
You’ll see.
